如果您看看最近的新闻或听听国会对如何降低美国财政赤字的辩论，肯定会听到有关“权利”的讨论。“权利”一词是说我们应该获得的某种保障权益，不过在国会关于财政赤字的辩 论中，我们不清楚到底怎么才能获得自己的“权利”。
在等待硅谷多内博览会年度大会开幕的那段时间里，我不由想起另外一种“权利”，即多核片上系统（SoC）所带给我们的“权利”。多核“权利”可帮助开发人员最大限度的实现
集成元件的理论性能，与独立配置类似。多核器件在解决方案中的部署已经有一段时间了，技术社区里有关全面实现多核 SoC 应有“权利”途径的讨论进行的正如火如荼。SoC 的内部开 关与总线基础设施、存储器子系统架构与 IO 性能是影响我们“权利”能否实现的几个重要元素。TI 非常重视多核挑战，我们相信 KeyStone 多核 SoC 架构可帮助我们实现多核“权 利”，满足绝大多数乃至全部目标使用情况要求。当然我们不能说无论什么多核器件都能带给我们全部应有的使用“权利”，因为具体还是要取决于使用情况以及可行的测试情境开发。
那么现在我想听听多核用户及开发人员的意见，现在SoC 市场距离多核“权利”还有多远？我们怎样才能最好的测量并确保“权利”的实现？

If you tune in to the news lately, and listen to the congressional debates over how to reduce the U.S. deficit, it’s hard not to hear a discussion around "entitlements." The word, “entitlement” implies some sense of right, a guarantee, yet as the debate continues amidst financial shortfalls, it is not clear that a "right" should be assumed.
As I await the start of the annual Multicore Expo in Silicon Valley, I am drawn to ponder yet another type of entitlement - multicore SoC performance. Multicore entitlement enables developers to reach near theoretical maximum performance of the elements of an integrated SoC, similar to how they would perform in a standalone configuration. While multicore devices have been deployed in solutions for quite some time now, the technical community continues to debate the path of achieving full multicore SoC entitlement. SoC internal switch and bus infrastructure, memory subsystem architecture and IO performance are several key elements that can affect device achievement of entitlement. At TI we take this multicore challenge very seriously and through our KeyStone multicore SoC architecture we feel we achieve multicore entitlement for many if not all of our targeted use cases. The real obstacle to making a blanket statement that any multicore device achieves full entitlement is use case dependent and subject to development of a valid test scenario.
So at this juncture, I would love to hear from multicore users and developers on – where is the SoC market on multicore entitlement? How do we best measure or assure this entitlement?
