浦半导体(NXP)日前宣布推出专为手机设计研发的新一代UTMI+Low-Pin Interface(ULPI)高速USB收发器,新一代收发器仅为2.2×2.25×0.6毫米,焊点仅为0.4毫米,是市场上体积最小的USB收发器,可满足今天超轻薄手机设计及其它时尚便携设备的特殊需求。另外,由于手机中USB的实际使用时间低于通话时间和等待时间,此收发器在掉电模式(power-down)下的耗电量只有0.5毫安,避免了对电池的消耗。       In-Stat分析师Brian O'Rourke认为:“随着数据密集型的应用在无线用户中激增,手机市场将继续成为USB集成增长的主要动力之一。手机供应商要寻找更有效的新方法,将USB集成在自己的下一代手机中。”
      恩智浦半导体新一代ULPI高速USB收发器系列包括四个成员——ISP1504x1、ISP1508、ISP1702和ISP1703,它们均完全符合包括ULPI Rev. 1.1、USB On-The-Go(OTG)Rev. 1.2和USB Rev. 2.0在内的各项行业规范。为满足手机的特殊要求,所有收发器都支持从3.0V至4.5V的宽范围的手机输入电压。在USB收发器未使用时启用的新型掉电(power-down)模式可节省电池的电能,它仅有小于0.5μA的极低功耗。
      第二代ULPI收发器的初始功能范围是主、外设和OTG。ISP1508、ISP1702和ISP1703均有1.4V至1.95V的VCC(I/O),可满足较低的系统电压水平,并且部分型号还可以通过管脚选择为单数据速率(SDR)或双数据速率(DDR)接口运行。另外,所有这三种部件都可以支持USB充电器检测,以及OTG功能的外部电荷泵。
      恩智浦半导体第二代ULPI高速USB收发器采用了ULPI收发器接口,该接口由业界协会联合开发,芯片设计商与系统设计商可以通过它将一个高速USB收发器连接到专用集成电路(ASIC)和系统级芯片(SoC)中嵌入的USB芯片逻辑。ASIC和SoC设计者用ULPI标准接口替代专用接口后,可以缩短设计时间、简化测试工作,并确保USB收发器之间的互操作性。
      恩智浦半导体的ISP504x1、ISP1508和ISP1702器件现可提供样品,前两种产品将分别在三月和四月量产。每款器件的定价如下:ISP1504x1为1.30美元(美国);ISP1702为1.20美元(美国);ISP1508和ISP1703为1.10美元(美国),所有定价均为大批量价格。

  恩智浦半导体(NXP Semiconductors)日前宣布推出全新的多媒体功能增强型移动系统平台系列,显著加快EDGE手机设计步伐,彰显恩智浦在全球EDGE解决方案市场的领导地位。基于在市场上获得成功的EDGE移动系统解决方案Nexperia 5210,新的Nexperia移动系统解决方案5212和5213分别为入门级和中端EDGE手机提供全面的硬件/软件设计,并涵盖手机设计的所有步骤,包括广泛的验证和互操作性测试,从而帮助手机制造商在短短3-4个月内将新款手机投向市场。此外,恩智浦今天还推出了一款专用数据调制解调器—Nexperia移动系统解决方案5209,支持纯数据应用(PCMCIA卡,M2M)以及需要EDGE数据传输的智能电话(Smartphone)调制解调器应用。

  Philips’ one-chip TEF690x car radio ICs combine FM/AM tuner, stereo decoder, weak   signal processing, RDS/RBDS demodulator (optional) and audio processing. They also feature integrated variable bandwidth IF filter and automatic bandwidth control algorithm (PACS) which can be easily adapted via the I2C bus, thus offering high flexibility to the radio maker. Audio signal processing allows flexible source selection, volume, balance, fader and inaudible tuning mute. The devices can be controlled via the 400 kHz fast-mode I2C bus and include autonomous tuning functions for easy control without critical microcontroller timing.
