Position: Sr IO Specialist FAE ![]() Work Location: Beijing
Role:
- Looking for an enthusiastic individual who wants to be on the cutting edge of technology, interact with customers on a daily basis and contribute to market leadership in high speed IO technology.
- System IO Specialist FAE interfaces with customers to help them architect and implement systems using IO technology.
- System IO Specialist FAE will also interact with other specialists and factory engineers for product support and product improvement feedback.
- Primary role is the technical selling and support of System IO connectivity solutions at the system-level for global and strategic accounts.
- As a senior level position, the System IO Specialist FAE must be a highly motivated self-starter and requires little day-to-day supervision.
- Drive design wins at strategic accounts, working closely with sales representatives and Xilinx sales management and FAEs.
- Research, evaluate and conduct detailed system architecture analysis in order to identify/articulate advantages and present solutions in a written proposal.
- Able to represent IO Specialist community to corporate Marketing and Engineering.
- Evangelize and articulate Xilinx high-speed IO solutions through technical seminars, presentations and demonstrations.
- Evaluate and help resolve post-sales issues.
Requirement:
- High level, working knowledge of high-speed standard digital communications protocols such as Gigabit Ethernet, Fibre Channel, XAUI, SONET, SPI 4.2, SFI 4.1, sRIO, SONET OC-X, OTU-X, PCI Express, Advanced Switching, SDI, HD-SDI, ASI, etc.
- Understanding of SW signal integrity tools; able to use them when necessary. (Eg. H-spice and IBIS)
- Significant team member on a Digital FPGA/ASIC design project (including VHDL or Verilog)
- Working knowledge of PCB (printed circuit board) design. - Experience with post sales and HW debug techniques.
- Hands on lab experience utilizing high bandwidth Oscilloscopes, DCAs, Spectrum Analyzers, etc.
- Working knowledge of high speed serial jitter characteristics, measurements, and system SI link budgeting.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills and experience working with customers in a pre-sales capacity.
- Able to quickly translate complex technical features into individual customer benefits.
- Able to adapt to varying business sales environment and make confident engineering judgment decisions.
- Minimum of BSEE, MSEE a plus - Travel up to 25% required.
