QSDK-QCA9890, QCA9892 and MTK-MT7915- Different wireless chips - different characteristics and uses
The QCA9890, QCA9892, and MT7915 are different wireless chips commonly used in wireless networking devices such as routers, wireless access points, and wireless adapters. They come from different chip manufacturers and have different characteristics and uses. Here are the main differences between them:
Manufacturer:
The QCA9890 and QCA9892 are chips manufactured by Qualcomm. Qualcomm is a well-known semiconductor company focused on mobile communications and wireless technology.
The MT7915 is a chip manufactured by MediaTek. Mediatek is also a well-known semiconductor company, mainly involved in the mobile communications and smart device markets.
Purpose:
The QCA9890 and QCA9892 are commonly used in high-performance wireless routers and enterprise-class wireless access points. They support high-speed wireless connectivity and multiple device connectivity.
The MT7915 is also intended for wireless routers and access points, but is likely to be used more in mid-range and consumer grade products. It offers good performance, but may not be as good as Qualcomm's chips for large-scale enterprise environments.
Technical features:
The QCA9890 and QCA9892 may feature advanced wireless technologies such as MU-MIMO (multiple user multiple input multiple output), Beamforming (beamforming), and support for high-speed wireless standards such as 802.11ac and 802.11ax.
The two chips typically support two common Wi-Fi bands, 2.4GHz and 5GHz.
In the 2.4GHz band, they typically support the 802.11b/g/n standard.
In the 5GHz band, they typically support the 802.11a/n/ac standard, as well as the more advanced 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6) standard.
The MT7915 also supports some advanced technologies, but it depends on the product model and configuration.
Ecosystem and compatibility:
The MT7915 also typically supports two Wi-Fi bands, 2.4GHz and 5GHz.
In the 2.4GHz band, it typically supports the 802.11b/g/n standard.
In the 5GHz band, it typically supports the 802.11a/n/ac standard, as well as the 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6) standard.
The advantage of the QCA9890, QCA9892 and MT7915 chips as WiFi cards is that they provide high performance, reliability and advanced wireless connectivity for a variety of application scenarios. Here are some of their main advantages as WiFi cards:
High-speed connectivity: These chips support the latest wireless standards, such as 802.11ac and 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6), providing high-speed data transfer speeds. This enables WiFi cards to achieve faster download and upload speeds for applications with high bandwidth requirements such as large file transfers, high-definition video streaming and online gaming.

High performance: They are typically equipped with multiple antennas and advanced MIMO (multi-user Multiple input Multiple output) technology, which supports simultaneous connection of multiple devices and provides more stable connections and better performance. This is especially important in multi-device home networks and enterprise environments.

Range and coverage: These chips support Beamforming technology, which can adjust the direction of the signal and improve the coverage and stability of the WiFi signal. This means that WiFi signals can better penetrate walls and obstacles, providing wider coverage.
Low latency: Low latency is critical for real-time applications such as online gaming and video calling. These chips typically have lower signal transmission latency, which can provide a smoother user experience.

Compatibility: They support multiple WiFi standards, so they work well with a variety of routers and other devices. Whether you're using an older WiFi device or the latest router, these WiFi cards will work just fine.

Security: These chips usually support modern WiFi security protocols, such as WPA3, which can provide stronger wireless network security.
In summary, as WiFi cards, the QCA9890, QCA9892 and MT7915 provide powerful performance and features to meet the wireless connectivity needs of a wide range of users, from ordinary home users to enterprise users. Choosing the right WiFi card should be determined according to your needs and budget.
