General Description
The ZCC6688 is a 3A Li-Ion battery charger. It utilizesa 500KHz synchronous buck converter topology toreduce power dissipation during charging. Low powerdissipation, an internal MOSFET allow a physicallysmall charger that can be embedded in a wide rangeof handheld applications. The ZCC6688 includescomplete charge termination circuitry, automaticrecharge and a ±1% 4.2V /8.4V float voltage.
Battery charge current, charge timeout and end-of- charge indication parameters are set with
externalcomponents. Additional features include shorted celldetection; temperature qualified charging andovervoltage protection. The ZCC6688 is available in alow profile ESOP10 package.
