Job Description:
Physical Layer System Engineer for 3G/GSM UE
Looking for the WCDMA, and GSM physical layer engineers to join us in 3G/2G production. As a worldwide leading fabless semiconductor company, we are working on 3G/2G communication product and technology. You would join in us in the design, development, implementation and debug of advanced physical layer firmware and system for the wireless communication productions.
Qualification:
- A minimum of Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering is required with specialization in DSP or communication
- Experience in the develop of the physical layer or L1 Controller of 3G/2G (TD-SCDMA, WCDMA, GSM) are preferred
- Related experience in the 3G/2G system design, Dual RAT, HSPA and system testing is a good plus
- Strong Digital Signal Processing knowledge in the area of digital communication system and of various digital modulation schemes
- Good written and oral English skills
- Good Team work
RF Embedded Software Engineer
Job Function
- Be part of an engineering team that is focused on support of key customers and lowering their time to market.
- Write, debug, and support embedded drivers for RF and Modem hardware in the C language.
- Design and develop embedded RF test commands for both the RF Driver and Layer 1 for TD-SCDMA, GSM/EDGE, and LTE.
- Writing design documents and procedure documents.
- Analysis of test time using mobile phone log files and determination of techniques to reduce test time.
- Pursue software source code quality goals.
Skills/Experience
- Experience with debugging embedded software using an in-circuit emulator (Lauterbach Trace32 JTAG) for an ARM processor.
- Experience with embedded build systems including compiling, linking, loading, and executing firmware images.
- Experience with RF test equipment measurements for power, spectrum, and waveform quality in at least one cellular standard TD-SCDMA, GSM/EDGE, and LTE.
- Experience with development of Layer 1 or RF Driver software using the C programming language, for at least one of the following technologies: TD-SCDMA, GSM/EDGE, and LTE.
- Experience with power and spectrum signal analysis using IQ capture data.
Educational Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering; Masters Degree preferred |
