Product Definer or Architecture Engineer for Mems Inertial Sensor
Our client in this exclusive search is a global leader in semiconductor and sensor area for automotive, consumer, industrial, networking and wireless markets. They have R&D, manufacturing and sales operations in more than 30 countries. The sales revenue in 2006 is more than $5 billion (USD). Their products include MCU, Analog and mixed signal, Sensors and Actuators, RF, wireless, etc.

Position: Product Definer (System Engineer) for Inertial Sensor
Location – Prefer Shanghai Report to Inertial Department Director
Department Description The function of this position is to help us develop industry leading next-generation sensor products. This business unit addresses products in the areas of Cellular, Appliance Portable Media, Computing and other consumer markets.
Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations More strategic duties include accessing new markets, creating competitive advantages, writing new product definitions, constructing articles and application notes, training field staff in their new products, and to assist design engineers in generating detailed new product topologies. The Strategic Product Definer’s focus is to understand market segments, suggest and evaluate new product concepts, and to create product definitions for development of leading edge sensor products.
Specific Knowledge/Skills The successful candidate will be knowledgeable in inertial sensors, and/or analog and microcontroller devices, and have 10+ years’ previous system or board level analog design experience. The candidate should possess excellent communication skills and be willing to travel internationally. The candidate should also be comfortable in interfacing with design talent in high volume, world class companies. BSEE or technical degree equivalent. Advanced Degree preferred.
Comments: Exposure to global market: clients are based in Finland, Canada, Taiwan, Korea, China, etc. (Apple, Microsoft, etc.) Exposure to global RD team including ASIC team, MEMS team, AE team in US, Japan, China, etc It is a 20% tactical and 80% strategy position. Great Influence: This person have big influence on the market of the inertial sensor product line. A veteran in this area is preferred. Oversea experience is needed. Travel to the global clients’ location is needed. Understanding of ASIC is very helpful but not mandatory This position is called Architecture Engineer or Consultant or Scientist in some other companies. Prefer to have inertial sensor experience. Those candidates have rich experience in Analog Application design will have a great opportunity to enter into this exciting market
