M058S Application: 8x8x8 LED CubeOverview 8x8x8 LED Cube is a 3D display cube, consisting of total 512 LED. It shows cool 3D lighting effects and always catches the viewer's eye. The M058S series provides a large number of general-purpose I/O (GPIO) pins, up to 55 GPIO pins for LQFP-64 package, and each GPIO pin can directly drive the LED. Users can use only one M058S chip to replace a lot of other control and driver chip. ARM® Cortex™-M0 32 bit core runs up to 50 MHz, it can provide more powerful computing ability and faster calculation speed than 8051. M058S has rich peripheral such as SPI, I2C, UART_RS485, especially RS485. M058S supports RS485 transmission with DMX512 protocol, which was developed by USITT ( United States Institute of Theater Technology ) to control a large number of lighting equipment, so users can remote control eight sets 8x8x8 LED Cube at the same time.
