#技术资源# #每日话题# #申请原创# R5001 是一款基于 SPAD(single-photon avalanche diode)技术的激光雷达 ToF(Time of Flight)接收芯片。和激光发射器、驱动电路一起构成小型的激光雷达模块,用于扫地机、AGv(Automated Guided Vehicle)的 SLAM(Simultaneous localization and mapping)建图,机器人避障,测距等场景。具有使用简便、测距精度高、帧率高、抗阳光等特性。R5001 是一款基于 SPAD 单光子技术直接 ToF 测量法(D-ToF)的全集成接收芯片,和发射端起便捷的搭建小型的单点测距雷达系统。还可以搭配电机,成为小型旋转激光雷达,用于机器人避障和建图(SLAM)

单光子技术简介:


单光子探测是一种近年来新兴的探测光电探测技术。因其超高的灵敏度,甚至可以探测到光的能量的最小单位:单个光子,得名“单光子探测技术”,英文名:single-photon avalanche diode。SPAD与 APD或光电二极管之间的根本区别在于,SPAD 的偏置远高于其反向偏置击穿电压。 而APD 和普通的光电二极管(例如 P-i-n PD)反向偏置电压一般低于其工作电压。所以 SPAD 有时候又被称之为 Geiger mode APD,即工作在盖格模式下的 APD。因此 SPAD 相比 APD 有着更高的灵敏度。 这意味着,在其他条件一致的情况下,使用 SPAD 的作为光接收器的激光雷达模组可以测量更远的距离:或者说测量同样的距离,SPAD 所需要的光发射功率通常低于 APD 及 PD。
R5001 is a LiDAR (Time of Flight) receiver chip based on SPAD (single-photon avalanche diode) technology. Together with the laser transmitter and drive circuit, it forms a small lidar module, which is used for SLAM (Simultaneous localization and mapping) mapping of sweepers and AGvs (Automated Guided Vehicles), robot obstacle avoidance, ranging and other scenarios. It has the characteristics of easy to use, high ranging accuracy, high frame rate, and anti-sunlight. The R5001 is a fully integrated receiver chip based on SPAD single-photon technology direct ToF measurement (D-ToF), which is convenient to build a small single-point ranging radar system from the transmitter end. It can also be used with a motor to become a small rotating lidar for robot obstacle avoidance and mapping (SLAM)

Chip features:

Simple and easy to use: All ranging modules are integrated in the chip:
Single-Supply Operation: 3.3V (Integrated SPAD High Voltage Supply)

Accurate ranging: the error within the full range (0.05-15 meters) does not exceed 1.5cm;

Anti-sunlight: The surface of the chip is covered with a 905nm filter, which does not affect the distance measurement outdoors;

Low power consumption: With the external MCU, the radar system can be in a low frame rate and low power consumption state;

High sensitivity: C1ass1 laser meets ranging requirements: high frame rate: 7.2k distance output per second, which can be used for single-point ranging or rotating 2D radar.

Introduction to Single Photon Technology:

Single-photon detection is an emerging photoelectric detection technology in recent years. Because of its ultra-high sensitivity, it can detect even the smallest unit of light energy: a single photon, which is named "single-photon detection technology", English name: single-photon avalanche diode. The fundamental difference between a SPAD and an APD or photodiode is that the bias of a SPAD is much higher than its reverse bias breakdown voltage. The reverse bias voltage of APDs and common photodiodes (e.g., P-i-n PD) is generally lower than their operating voltage. Therefore, SPAD is sometimes referred to as Geiger mode APD, that is, APD that works in Geiger mode. As a result, SPADs have higher sensitivity than APDs. This means that, all else being equal, the use of the SPA's lidar module as an optical receiver can measure longer distances: or for the same distance, the optical emission power required by the SPAD is usually lower than that of the APD and the PD.
