直接飞行时间(D-ToF)传感器是一种类似于蝙蝠声波定位的技术,它通过发射光脉冲并利用触发时间-数字转换器(TDC)来测量反射光脉冲的时间。TDC的作用类似于秒表,当光电探测器接收到反射脉冲时,记录从脉冲发射到返回所花费的时间。通过以下方程式,测量距离=光子行程时间/2 x 光速,可以将TDC 测量的时间转换为距离值。D-ToF 传感器在以下场合中有着广泛的应用:
手机自动对焦:智能手机前置摄像头启动和后置摄像头的暗光条件下快速对焦。
服务机器人: 如扫地机器人,其中 D-ToF 传感器起到避障和悬崖检测的作用。在 LDS(laser distancesystem)中对环境进行建模和路径规划。
人体存在检测:在智能门锁和自动感应开门中,当人进入检测范围后,可触发系统开启房门,或启动大功率传感器(如面部识别系统),开启进一步探测。
笔记本电脑用户存在检测:人离开时自动关闭屏幕,提供隐私保护并节省电池电量。
非接触式开关:在感应水龙头中,感应双手靠近动作,从而打开水龙头出水。

Introduction to D-ToF:
A direct time-of-flight (D-ToF) sensor is a technique similar to bat acoustic wave localization that measures the time of the reflected light pulse by emitting a pulse of light and utilizing a trigger time-to-digital converter (TDC). TDC acts like a stopwatch, recording the time it takes from the pulse emission to the return when the photodetector receives a reflected pulse. With the following equation, measuring distance = photon travel time / 2 x speed of light, the time measured by TDC can be converted into a distance value. D-ToF sensors are used in a wide range of applications in:
Phone autofocus: Smartphone front camera activation and fast focus in low-light conditions on the rear camera.
Service robots: such as robot vacuums, where D-ToF sensors play the role of obstacle avoidance and cliff detection. Model and route plan the environment in LDS (laser distancesystem).
Human presence detection: In smart door locks and automatic induction door opening, when a person enters the detection range, the system can be triggered to open the door, or a high-power sensor (such as a facial recognition system) can be activated to enable further detection.
Laptop User Presence Detection: Automatically turns off the screen when a person leaves, providing privacy protection and saving battery power.
Touchless switch: In a sensor faucet, it senses the movement of both hands to open the faucet.
