3.4.16 Feedback Circuits
Many of the complex circuits used in modern elec.tronics incorporate the concept of feedback, in which tronics a portion of a circuit's output is returned to its input
either to augment or to reduce the original input signal. If the feedback tends to increase the input amplitude,it is called positive feedback. If it tends to decrease the
input amplitude, it is called negative feedback. Positive
feedback increases the circuit gain at the expense of the range of frequencies it can amplify. Negative feed-back enhances all the desirable properties of a circuit at the expense of reduced gain. Negative feedback is extremely useful for nearly all control circuits and
