IO_4 is selectable as follows:
Digital input (logic level) sent to the MCU through the SPI. Wake-up input (load dump proof) on rising or falling edge or based on pre-vious state.
IO_0 is selectable as follows:
Analog input (load dump proof)
Can be used as analog or digital input (load dump proof) with wake-up capability (selectable)

Dld is necessary (Voltage Transient Suppressor) if the load dump peak voltage exceeds the VCC max DC rating. The same applies if the device is subject to transients on the VCC line that are greater than the ones shown in the ISO T/R 7637/1 table.
