hp工作站下安装redhat enterprise 5.1 在第一块 sicii 硬盘上，FFDISK －L 看不到第二块硬盘。

首先你应该清楚fdisk指令只是分析MBR的，至于说到底硬盘上是什么分区还可能有差别。

unrecognized format - using sectors

表示有fdisk不识别的分区标志。在windows混装时多有这种情况。

至于说第2块硬盘。你可以通过多种方式检测。

比较底层的，直接用grub，在启动到grub后按c，
然后
kernel (hd

按tab看看。。。。
