描述




The ULN2803A device is a high-voltage, high-current Darlington transistor array. The device consists of eight NPN Darlington pairs that feature high-voltage outputs with common-cathode clamp diodes for switching inductive loads. The collector-current rating of each Darlington pair is 500 mA. The Darlington pairs may be connected in parallel for higher current capability.

Applications include relay drivers, hammer drivers, lamp drivers, display drivers (LED and gas discharge), line drivers, and logic buffers. The ULN2803A device has a 2.7-kΩ series base resistor for each Darlington pair for operation directly with TTL or 5-V CMOS devices.

描述




The LM26001 is a switching regulator designed for the high-efficiency requirements of applications with standby modes. The device features a low-current sleep mode to maintain efficiency under light-load conditions and current-mode control for accurate regulation over a wide input voltage range. Quiescent current is reduced to 10 µA typically in shutdown mode and less than 40 µA in sleep mode. Forced PWM mode is also available to disable sleep mode.

The LM26001 can deliver up to 1.5 A of continuous load current with a fixed current limit, through the internal N-channel switch. The part has a wide input voltage range of 4.0 V to 38 V and can operate with input voltages as low as 3 V during line transients.

Operating frequency is adjustable from 150 kHz to 500 kHz with a single resistor and can be synchronized to an external clock.

Other features include Power Good, adjustable soft-start, enable pin, input undervoltage protection, and an internal bootstrap diode for reduced component count.

The TLC271 operational amplifier combines a wide range of input offset voltage grades with low offset voltage drift and high input impedance. In addition, the TLC271 offers a bias-select mode that allows the user to select the best combination of power dissipation and ac performance for a particular application. These devices use Texas Instruments silicon-gate LinCMOSTM technology, which provides offset voltage stability far exceeding the stability available with conventional metal-gate processes.

Using the bias-select option, these cost-effective devices can be programmed to span a wide range of applications that previously required BiFET, NFET, or bipolar technology. Three offset voltage grades are available (C-suffix and I-suffix types), ranging from the low-cost TLC271 (10 mV) to the TLC271B (2 mV) low-offset version. The extremely high input impedance and low bias currents, in conjunction with good common-mode rejection and supply voltage rejection, make these devices a good choice for new state-of-the-art designs as well as for upgrading existing designs.

In general, many features associated with bipolar technology are available in LinCMOSTM operational amplifiers, without the power penalties of bipolar technology. General applications such as transducer interfacing, analog calculations, amplifier blocks, active filters, and signal buffering are all easily designed with the TLC271. The devices also exhibit low-voltage single-supply operation, making them ideally suited for remote and inaccessible battery-powered applications. The common-mode input voltage range includes the negative rail.

A wide range of packaging options is available, including small-outline and chip-carrier versions for high-density system applications.

The device inputs and output are designed to withstand -100-mA surge currents without sustaining latch-up.

The TLC271 incorporates internal ESD-protection circuits that prevent functional failures at voltages up to 2000 V as tested under MIL-STD-883C, Method 3015.2; however, care should be exercised in handling these devices as exposure to ESD may result in the degradation of the device parametric performance.

The C-suffix devices are characterized for operation from 0°C to 70°C. The I-suffix devices are characterized for operation from -40°C to 85°C. The M-suffix devices are characterized for operation over the full military temperature range of -55°C to 125°C.

UCC38C4x family is a high-performance current-mode PWM controller. It is an enhanced BiCMOS version with pin-for-pin compatibility to the industry standard UC384xA family and UC384x family of PWM controllers. In addition, lower startup voltage versions of 7 V are offered as UCC38C40 and UCC38C41.

Providing necessary features to control fixed frequency, peak current-mode power supplies, this family offers the following performance advantages. The device offers high-frequency operation up to 1 MHz with low start-up and operating currents, thus minimizing start-up loss and low operating power consumption for improved efficiency. The device also features a very fast current-sense-to-output delay time of 35 ns and a ±1 A peak output current capability with improved rise and fall times for driving large external MOSFETs directly.

The UCC38C4x family is offered in 8-pin packages, MSOP (DGK), SOIC (D) and PDIP (P).

The TMS320VC5509A fixed-point digital signal processor (DSP) is based on the TMS320C55x DSP generation CPU processor core. The C55x™ DSP architecture achieves high performance and low power through increased parallelism and total focus on reduction in power dissipation. The CPU supports an internal bus structure that is composed of one program bus, three data read buses, two data write buses, and additional buses dedicated to peripheral and DMA activity. These buses provide the ability to perform up to three data reads and two data writes in a single cycle. In parallel, the DMA controller can perform up to two data transfers per cycle independent of the CPU activity.

The C55x CPU provides two multiply-accumulate (MAC) units, each capable of 17-bit × 17-bit multiplication in a single cycle. A central 40-bit arithmetic/logic unit (ALU) is supported by an additional 16-bit ALU. Use of the ALUs is under instruction set control, providing the ability to optimize parallel activity and power consumption. These resources are managed in the Address Unit (AU) and Data Unit (DU) of the C55x CPU.

The C55x DSP generation supports a variable byte width instruction set for improved code density. The Instruction Unit (IU) performs 32-bit program fetches from internal or external memory and queues instructions for the Program Unit (PU). The Program Unit decodes the instructions, directs tasks to AU and DU resources, and manages the fully protected pipeline. Predictive branching capability avoids pipeline flushes on execution of conditional instructions.

The general-purpose input and output functions and the 10-bit A/D provide sufficient pins for status, interrupts, and bit I/O for LCDs, keyboards, and media interfaces. The parallel interface operates in two modes, either as a slave to a microcontroller using the HPI port or as a parallel media interface using the asynchronous EMIF. Serial media is supported through two MultiMedia Card/Secure Digital (MMC/SD) peripherals and three McBSPs.

The 5509A peripheral set includes an external memory interface (EMIF) that provides glueless access to asynchronous memories like EPROM and SRAM, as well as to high-speed, high-density memories such as synchronous DRAM. Additional peripherals include Universal Serial Bus (USB), real-time clock, watchdog timer, and I2C multi-master and slave interface. Three full-duplex multichannel buffered serial ports (McBSPs) provide glueless interface to a variety of industry-standard serial devices, and multichannel communication with up to 128 separately enabled channels. The enhanced host-port interface (HPI) is a 16-bit parallel interface used to provide host processor access to 32K bytes of internal memory on the 5509A. The HPI can be configured in either multiplexed or non-multiplexed mode to provide glueless interface to a wide variety of host processors. The DMA controller provides data movement for six independent channel contexts without CPU intervention, providing DMA throughput of up to two 16-bit words per cycle. Two general-purpose timers, up to eight dedicated general-purpose I/O (GPIO) pins, and digital phase-locked loop (DPLL) clock generation are also included.

The 5509A is supported by the industry‘s award-winning eXpressDSP™, Code Composer Studio™ Integrated Development Environment (IDE), DSP/BIOS™, Texas Instruments’ algorithm standard, and the industry‘s largest third-party network. The Code Composer Studio IDE features code generation tools including a C Compiler and Visual Linker, simulator, RTDX™, XDS510™ emulation device drivers, and evaluation modules. The 5509A is also supported by the C55x DSP Library which features more than 50 foundational software kernels (FIR filters, IIR filters, FFTs, and various math functions) as well as chip and board support libraries.

The TMS320C55x DSP core was created with an open architecture that allows the addition of application-specific hardware to boost performance on specific algorithms. The hardware extensions on the 5509A strike the perfect balance of fixed function performance with programmable flexibility, while achieving low-power consumption, and cost that traditionally has been difficult to find in the video-processor market. The extensions allow the 5509A to deliver exceptional video codec performance with more than half its bandwidth available for performing additional functions such as color space conversion, user-interface operations, security, TCP/IP, voice recognition, and text-to-speech conversion. As a result, a single 5509A DSP can power most portable digital video applications with processing headroom to spare. The MAX3222E consists of two line drivers, two line receivers, and a dual charge-pump circuit with ±15-kV ESD protection pin to pin (serial-port connection pins, including GND).

The device meets the requirements of TIA/EIA-232-F and provides the electrical interface between an asynchronous communication controller and the serial-port connector. The charge pump and four small external capacitors allow operation from a single 3-V to 5.5-V supply. The device operates at typical data signaling rates up to 500 kbit/s and a maximum of 30-V/µs driver output slew rate.

The MAX3222E can be placed in the power-down mode by setting the power-down (PWRDOWN) input low, which draws only 1 µA from the power supply. When the device is powered down, the receivers remain active while the drivers are placed in the high-impedance state. Also, during power down, the onboard charge pump is disabled; V+ is lowered to VCC, and V– is raised toward GND. Receiver outputs also can be placed in the high-impedance state by setting enable (EN) high.

The DAC908 is a high-speed, Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) offering an 8-bit resolution option within the SpeedPlus family of high-performance converters. Featuring pin compatibility among family members, the DAC900, DAC902, and DAC904 provide a component selection option to an 10-, 12-, and 14-bit resolution, respectively. All models within this family of DACs support update rates in excess of 165MSPS with excellent dynamic performance, and are especially suited to fulfill the demands of a variety of applications.

The advanced segmentation architecture of the DAC908 is optimized to provide a high Spurious-Free Dynamic Range (SFDR) for single-tone, as well as for multi-tone signals—essential when used for the transmit signal path of communication systems.

The DAC908 has a high impedance (200k) current output with a nominal range of 20mA and an output compliance of up to 1.25V. The differential outputs allow for both a differential or single-ended analog signal interface. The close matching of the current outputs ensures superior dynamic performance in the differential configuration, which can be implemented with a transformer.

Utilizing a small geometry CMOS process, the monolithic DAC908 can be operated on a wide, single-supply range of +2.7V to +5.5V. Its low power consumption allows for use in portable and battery-operated systems. Further optimization can be realized by lowering the output current with the adjustable full-scale option.

For noncontinuous operation of the DAC908, a power-down mode results in only 45mW of standby power.

The DAC908 comes with an integrated 1.24V bandgap reference and edge-triggered input latches, offering a complete converter solution. Both +3V and +5V CMOS logic families can be interfaced to the DAC908.

The reference structure of the DAC908 allows for additional flexibility by utilizing the on-chip reference, or applying an external reference. The full-scale output current can be adjusted over a span of 2mA to 20mA, with one external resistor, while maintaining the specified dynamic performance.

The DAC908 is available in the SO-28 and TSSOP-28 packages.
