Position:Senior Strategic Application Engineer (SR SAE)
Location: Shenzhen
JobRole:
-
Provide pre and post salestechnical support to Xilinx FAEs and customers by means of software, system andmodule level design evaluations and issue resolution, occasional customervisits and informal training.
-
Travel to customer sites to workwith them side by side as the Xilinx expert.
-
As a secondary job function,provide feedback to various product development teams to help define futureproduct enhancements and evolution including IP cores, device architectures andsoftware tools. Must be able to complete the following with minimal guidance:
•
Help debug customer designs andidentify software and/or hardware issues through simulation and on-siteanalysis of typical FPGA design issues
•
Provide technical assistance tohelp achieve FAE design win targets, mainly in the Embedded Processing space Þ Developand conduct product demonstrations Þ Run design benchmarks (evaluate size, performance & power) Þ Convertexisting designs to Xilinx target device Þ Perform HDL code optimization Þ Write,Optimize or Modify Software driver code Þ Write, Optimize, Modify orAnalyze SW low level applications in Standalone or RTOS environment

Help customers achieve timingclosure
•
Work with product groups toprovide feedback and suggestions including filing of change requests fordocumentation, software, etc
•
Support customer project designreviews
•
Develop, recommend and supportcustomer design methodologies
•
Develop key macros for strategiccustomer designs
JobRequirement:
-
Minimum 4-6 years work experienceBS/MS in Electronic/Computer Engineering.

Strong knowledge of ProcessorArchitectures and designs both Hardware and Software.
-
Work experience on ARM processorarchitectures and tools will be considered as a preference.
-
Proficient knowledge ofVHDL/Verilog coding, synthesis (Synplicity/Exemplar), and simulation (MTI, VCS,NC-Sim).

Demonstrated capability for laband system debug utilizing common test equipment.
-
Excellent interpersonal,telephone, written and group communication skills.
-
Good organizational skills withthe ability to multi task, prioritize, and track many activities.
-
Service and results oriented witha strong desire to support customers and work as an extension of a dynamicsales team.
-
Working knowledge of most recentXilinx FPGA and CPLD products as well as Xilinx and third party EDA tools.
-
Experience supporting customers.Xilinx specific design experience including demonstrable proficiency withXilinx design methodology and implementation tools.

Foreigner Languages: requiredfluent written and spoken English.
